Simple Gifts of Kripto the Mighty:)

Lead me from opacity to clarity. Lead me from the complicated to the simple. Lead me from the obscure to the obvious. Lead me from intention to attention. Lead me from what I'm told I am to what I see I am. Lead me from confrontation to wide openness. Lead me to the place I never left, Where there is peace, and peace -
The Upanishads It is written..shape clay into a vessel
It is the space within that gives it value
Place doors and windows in a house
It is the opening that brings light within
Set spokes within a wheel
It is the emptiness of the hub
That makes them useful
Therefore,be the space at the center
Be nothing
And you will have everything
To give to others...
*note* this is a follow up from my post on http://kriptodanny.blogspot.com/2011/03/when-true-simplicity-is-gainedfrom.html

anyway..If you have no idea about this song(Simple Gifts of Kripto the Mighty) then click on my link above..
Because using my superior mahayogi powers,I will indulge in explaining you the verses..such is my great humility..I bow and I bent to your wishes, grasshoppers from heaven!!..you should erect me a 12 inch statue when I'm gone, because I've been telling you so many secrets...I am so great,I even kiss myself daily in the mirror before I shave my mahayogi beard..trust me..:)
Anyway..listen good, and listen well, grasshoppers from heaven..and learn from my superior(very advanced indeed) humility from heaven..
The song goes like this..
'Tis the gift to be simple, Its a gift to be free,
'Tis the gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
Will be in the valley of love and delight.
( this means the source is above..the manifestations of it you have mistaken as,,me,,..or ,,self,,..if you reach that within you thru meditation..you'll be in a valley of love and delight and small kriptos like me,trying to give you lots of joy,as I do now..I admit it)
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend, we will not be ashamed,
To turn, turn, will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come round right
(this means to bow and to bend is the solution for the ego (false ideas ) to REACH it's source..if you don't bow,or bent, and don''t kiss your sorry  ass goodbye(or you don't watch the sensation in the body as a witness..and try to interpret them during your meditation session)..then that means you want to control the process of realization, which is impossible, since you are just a projection of the one,..can the shadow of the One control  the process?..if you believe that, then go under some tree and order the tree to move around,so you may be protected from the sun(essence)..and come back and explain me why the tree never moved...such is the insanity of the grasshoppers, since ONLY thru completely abandoning yourself thru the process, you can KNow it....guess what?..you are god within, but you must watch it,in order for him(or her) to watch you back..what YOU LOVE..always LOVES YOU back..ponder,grasshoppers from heaven..because the 2 become one as KNOWLEDGE..see?..the 3 become 2,the 5 become 3..and the 3 becomes one in the end...ponder:)
Thus spokenth the Muaaaahhha-ha-ha-ha-yogi!

'Tis the gift to be simple, Its a gift to be free,
'Tis the gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
Will be in the valley of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend, we will not be ashamed,
To turn, turn, will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come round right
Till by turning, turning we come round right
Indeed!..that was I was saying..halleluyah,grasshoppers from heaven!..kisses:)
Thus spokenth the Muaaaahhha-ha-ha-ha-yogi!

.................................
*note*..when I put on my attention on the past,of course I find some realized people..this is my mahayogi power...now..this guy knew the truth,or at least some parts of it...He composed these verses and music..Joseph Brackett Jr. (May 6, 1797 – July 4, 1882), an American songwriter and Elder of The United Society of Believers in Christ's Second Appearing ("The Shakers"), was born in Cumberland, Maine, and died in the Shaker community of Sabbathday Lake at New Gloucester, Maine.[1]
Brackett is known as the author of the Shaker dancing song Simple Gifts which has become an internationally loved tune, both through his original version, and many of its adaptations. The song, written in 1848, was largely unknown outside of Shaker communities until Aaron Copland used the melody in his 1944 composition Appalachian Spring.

Brackett's tune is also known widely through the lyrics "The Lord of the Dance" written by Sydney Carter in 1963.

Now..these shakers were dancing american indian style..and shaked..that was the reason for calling them,,Shakers,,..

But..as usually...as the founder of the shakers named Ann Lee

She never believed in sex...so she put this rule for the members to NEVER have sex..I wonder why she(in her great wisdom of hell) ever allowed eating,or breathing..or defecation...looks like she had to compromise a bit.

They refused sex..the whole thing...so they never raised kids, because they believed sex was a sin...

Joseph Brackett Jr. wrote this song, and obviously he was greater then Ann Lee...kisses for him, said the mahayogi..:)

This is WHAT happens when religions confuse the SOURCE with the MANIFESTATION of the ONE...and forget that without manifestation they could NOT KNOW the source..remember what I told you you are here to experience yourselves, grasshoppers from heaven?..good..kisses from the mahayogi..now go bend the spoon:)

words by Sydney Carter, music traditional

I danced in the morning when the world was begun
I danced in the Moon & the Stars & the Sun
I came down from Heaven & I danced on Earth
At Bethlehem I had my birth:

Dance then, wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the Dance, said He!
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said He!
(...lead you all in the Dance, said He!)

I danced for the scribe & the pharisee
But they would not dance & they wouldn't follow me
I danced for fishermen, for James & John
They came with me & the Dance went on:
I danced on the Sabbath & I cured the lame
The holy people said it was a shame!
They whipped & they stripped & they hung me high
And they left me there on a cross to die!

I danced on a Friday when the sky turned black
It's hard to dance with the devil on your back
They buried my body & they thought I'd gone
But I am the Dance & I still go on!

They cut me down and I leapt up high
I am the Life that'll never, never die!
I'll live in you if you'll live in Me -
I am the Lord of the Dance, said He!

*note* I feel like posting again that monk's experience,(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maha_Boowa ) so those whom get advanced enough would recognize the calamity..more then this I could explain you for hours, but now I feel silent.
Kisses from the mahayogi to Boowa..whatever realm he is now..I will join you soon,my beloved monk from heaven...:)..

ps..this is a follow up to a former post of mine, where I explained whom Boowa is..on the
http://kriptodanny.blogspot.com/2011/06/if-there-is-point-or-center-of-knower.html

On that post..I repeated over and over his marked insights about..
.If there is a point or a center of the knower anywhere, that is the nucleus of existence....this is it in a nutshell,so the deluded grasshoppers from heaven might understand his maha..he took the creation factor mother load before his final awakening as SELF..then he came back to his senses, and became a Buddha(Citta purified, or the brightness of the 8th consciousness,(alaya)or the perfection of ,,citta,, or,,mind,, (citta means mind whom knows itself in the heart...is hard to translate ,it seems..for here now..just let''s say is that which IT knows(or doesn't know)...it appears to be in your head, but it in your heart,or belly)
You can read more about citta here..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citta
quote"The complex causal nexus of volitions (or intentions) which one experiences continuously conditions one's thoughts, speech, and actions. One's state of mind at any given time reflects that complex; thus, the causal origin of actions, speech, and thoughts is sometimes associated with the state of mind (citta), in a manner of speaking. This does not mean that it is that causal nexus; it is better understood as an abstract reflection.[7] One's mind-set can be out of tune with one's desires or aspirations. In that it reflects the volitions, the citta is said to go off with a will of its own if not properly controlled.[8] It may lead a person astray or, if properly controlled, directed, and integrated, ennoble one. One may "make citta turn according to" his wishes most effectively by developing skill in meditative concentration which brings mental calm and clarity. An individual undergoes many different states of mind; M.II.27 asks: "Which citta? for citta is manifold, various, and diverse." Generally speaking, a person will operate with a collection of changing mindsets, and some will occur regularly. While these mindsets determine the personality, they are not in control of themselves, but fluctuate and alternate. There is thus the need for the meditative integration of personality to provide a greater, more wholesome consistency."

Be careful this guy has penetrated the ultimate truth,which..I am sorry to say..I have not yet..but I have had marvelous 12 inches glimpses of it...believe me!...if you've passed thru walls like me,walked on water like me,then you'd start to ponder..but I am here to please you,indeed...if YOU only listen to my superior 12 inch wisdom muscle, whom says:
1..all creation is The One experiencing itself as individuality,even in a fly,or a virus(some later time..there is a something strange,named ,,man and woman,, )
2.The One is not involved in creation, rather the creation is inside HIM
3.the whole universe is like a a ray of light going thru a prism and creating colors..
4.me and you are the colors
5.flees and coyotes are also that
6..but only humans can know the One,if they cultivate it,thru practice.
7.don't let the vein in your forehead pop from thinking about this deep stuff..trust the mahayogi!(loved in the 3 worlds, worshiped in 10 from gods sucking his toes..celebrated in the 18th also by himself, since he is the only one there..I HAVE SPOKENTH..THOSE WHOM HAVE EARS LET THEM LISTEN!! )
.If there is a point or a center of the knower anywhere, that is the nucleus of existence...(here he says,,Maha Boowa relates that the core of an individual's being and Nibbana are quite distinct in a dhamma talk with a disciple of his, Mae Chee Kaew:
“ When you investigate mental phenomena until you go beyond them completely, the remaining defiling elements of consciousness will be drawn into a radiant nucleus of awareness, which merges with the mind’s naturally radiant essence. This radiance is so majestic and mesmerizing that even transcendent faculties like spontaneous mindfulness and intuitive wisdom invariably fall under its spell. The mind’s brightness and clarity appear to be so extraordinary and awe-inspiring, that nothing can possibly compare. The luminous essence is the epitome of perfect goodness and virtue, the ultimate in spiritual happiness. It is your true, original self — the core of your being. But this true self is also the fundamental source of all attachment to being and becoming. Ultimately it is attachment to the allure of this primordial radiance of mind that causes living beings to wander indefinitely through the world of becoming and ceasing, constantly grasping at birth and enduring death.

The fundamental cause of that attachment is the very delusion about your true self. Delusion is responsible for all the defiling elements of consciousness, and its avenue of escape is the ongoing momentum of conscious activity. In this sphere, delusion reigns supreme. But once mindfulness and wisdom are skilled enough to eliminate conscious activity and therefore close this outlet, delusions created by the flow of mental phenomena cease. Severing all of its external outflows leaves delusion no room to maneuver inside the mind, forcing it to gather into the radiant nucleus from which all knowing emanates. That center of knowing appears as a luminous emptiness that truly overwhelms and amazes.

But that radiant emptiness should not be mistaken for the pure emptiness of Nibbana. The two are as different as night and day. The radiant mind is the original mind of the cycle of constant becoming; but it is not the essence of mind which is fully pure and free from birth and death. Radiance is a very subtle, natural condition whose uniform brightness and clarity make it appear empty. This is your original nature beyond name and form. But it is not yet Nibbana. It is the very substance of mind that has been well-cleansed to the point where a mesmerizing and majestic quality of knowing is its outstanding feature. When the mind finally relinquishes all attachment to forms and concepts, the knowing essence assumes exceedingly refined qualities. It has let go of everything — except itself. It remains permeated by a fundamental delusion about its own true nature. Because of that, the radiant essence has turned into a subtle form of self without you realizing it. You end up believing that the subtle feelings of happiness and the shining radiance are the unconditioned essence of mind. Oblivious to your delusion, you accept this majestic mind as the finished product. You believe it to be Nibbana, the transcendent emptiness of pure mind.

But emptiness, radiance, clarity and happiness are all subtle conditions of a mind still bound by delusion. When you observe the emptiness carefully, with sustained attention, you will observe that it is not really uniform, not really constant. The emptiness produced by primal delusion is the result of subtle conditions. Sometimes it changes a little — just a little — but enough for you to know that it’s transient. Subtle variations can be detected, because all conditioned phenomena — no matter how refined, bright and majestic they seem — invariably manifest some irregular symptoms.

If it is truly Nibbāna, why does this refined state of the mind display a variety of subtle conditions? It is not constant and true. Focus on that luminous center to see clearly that its radiance has the same characteristics — of being transient, imperfect and unessential — as all the other phenomena that you have already transcended. The only difference is that the radiance is far more subtle and refined.

Try imagining yourself standing in an empty room. You look around and see only empty space — everywhere. Absolutely nothing occupies that space — except you, standing in the middle of the room. Admiring its emptiness, you forget about yourself. You forget that you occupy a central position in that space. How then can the room be empty? As long as someone remains in the room, it is not truly empty. When you finally realize that the room can never be truly empty until you depart, that is the moment when that fundamental delusion about your true self disintegrates, and the pure, delusion-free mind arises.

Once the mind has let go of phenomena of every sort, the mind appears supremely empty; but the one who admires the emptiness, who is awestruck by the emptiness, that one still survives. The self as reference point which is the essence of all false knowing, remains integrated into the mind’s knowing essence. This self-perspective is the primary delusion. Its presence represents the difference between the subtle emptiness of the radiant mind and the transcendent emptiness of the pure mind, free of all forms of delusion. Self is the real impediment. As soon as it disintegrates and disappears, no more impediments remain. Transcendent emptiness appears. As in the case of a person in an empty room, we can say that the mind is truly empty only when the self leaves for good. This transcendent emptiness is a total and permanent disengagement that requires no further effort to maintain.

Delusion is an intrinsically blind awareness, masquerading as radiance, clarity and happiness. As such, it is the self’s ultimate safe haven. But those treasured qualities are all products of subtle causes and conditions. True emptiness occurs only when every single trace of one’s conditioned reality disappears.

As soon as you turn around and know it for what it is, that false awareness simply disintegrates. Clouding your vision with its splendor, that luminous deception has all along been concealing the mind’s true, natural wonder."
.If there is a point or a center of the knower anywhere, that is the nucleus of existence,indeed..ponder,grasshoppers from heaven..this Maha Boowa was not a fool, and neither am I,the Maha Yogi..trust me:)

Some basic teachings on the 'Citta'

Bua sees the essential enduring truth of the sentient being as constituted of the indestructible reality of the citta (heart/mind), which is characterized by the attribute of Awareness or Knowingness. This citta, which is intrinsically bright, clear, and Aware, gets superficially tangled up in samsara but ultimately cannot be destroyed by any samsaric phenomenon. Although Bua is often at pains to emphasise the need for meditation upon the non-Self (anatta), he also points out that the citta, while getting caught up in the vortex of conditioned phenomena, is not subject to destruction as are those things which are impermanent, suffering, and non-Self (anicca, dukkha, anatta). The citta is ultimately not beholden to these laws of conditioned existence. The citta is bright, radiant, and deathless, and is its own independent reality:
'Being intrinsically bright and clear, the citta is always ready to make contact with everything of every nature. Although all conditioned phenomena without exception are governed by the three universal laws of anicca, dukkha, and anattã, the citta’s true nature is not subject to these laws. The citta is conditioned by anicca, dukkha, and anattã only because things that are subject to these laws come spinning in to become involved with the citta and so cause it to spin along with them. However, though it spins in unison with conditioned phenomena, the citta never disintegrates or falls apart. It spins following the influence of those forces which have the power to make it spin, but the true power of the citta’s own nature is that it knows and does not die. This deathlessness is a quality that lies beyond disintegration. Being beyond disintegration, it also lies beyond the range of anicca, dukkha, and anattã and the universal laws of nature. ….'[6]
The fundamental problem that besets human beings, according to Bua, is that they have taken fake and false things as their true self and lack the necessary power to be their 'own true self'; they allow the wiles and deceits of the mental defilements to generate fear and anxiety in their minds. Fear and anxiety are not inherent within the citta; in fact, the citta is ultimately beyond all such things and indeed is beyond time and space. But it needs to be cleansed of its inner defilements (the kilesas) before that truth can be realised. Bua states:
Our real problem, our one fundamental problem—which is also the citta’s fundamental problem—is that we lack the power needed to be our own true self. Instead, we have always taken counterfeit things to be the essence of who we really are, so that the citta’s behavior is never in harmony with its true nature. Rather, it expresses itself through the kilesas’ cunning deceits, which cause it to feel anxious and frightened of virtually everything … As a result, the citta is forever full of worries and fears. And although fear and worry are not intrinsic to the citta, they still manage to produce apprehension there. When the citta has been cleansed so that it is absolutely pure and free of all involvement, only then will we see a citta devoid of all fear. Then, neither fear nor courage appear, only the citta’s true nature, existing naturally alone on its own, forever independent of time and space. Only that appears—nothing else. This is the genuine citta’.[7]
Bua goes on to attempt to describe the inner stages and experience of the cleansed citta. When its purgation of defilements is complete, it itself does not disappear – only the impermanent, suffering, and the non-Self disappear. The citta remains, experientially abiding in its own firm foundation, yet ultimately indescribable:
‘Once the Citta has become so well-cleansed that it is always bright and clear, then … even though the citta has not ‘converged’ in samãdhi, the focal point of its awareness is so exceedingly delicate and refined as to be indescribable. This subtle awareness manifests as a radiance that extends forth in all directions around us. We are unconscious of sights, sounds, odors, tastes, and tactile sensations, despite the fact that the citta has not entered samãdhi. Instead, it is actually experiencing its own firm foundation, the very basis of the citta that has been well-cleansed to the point where a mesmerizing, majestic quality of knowing is its most prominent feature.
Seeming to exist independent of the physical body, this kind of extremely refined awareness stands out exclusively within the citta. Due to the subtle and pronounced nature of the citta at this stage, its knowing nature completely predominates. No images or visions appear there at all. It is an awareness that stands out exclusively on its own. This is one aspect of the citta.

‘Another aspect is seen when this well-cleansed citta enters meditative calm, not thinking or imagining anything. Ceasing all activity, all movement, it simply rests for awhile. All thought and imagination within the citta come to a complete halt. This is called “the citta entering a state of total calm.” Then, the citta’s essential knowing nature is all that remains. Except for this very refined awareness—an awareness that seems to blanket the entire cosmos—absolutely nothing else appears… Distance is not a factor. To be precise, the citta is beyond the conditions of time and space, which allows it to blanket everything. Far is like near, for concepts of space do not apply. All that appears is a very refined awareness suffusing everything throughout the entire universe. The whole world seems to be filled by this subtle quality of knowing, as though nothing else exists, though things still exist in the world as they always have. The all-encompassing flow of the citta that has been cleansed of the things that cloud and obscure it, this is the citta’s true power.

'The citta that is absolutely pure is even more difficult to describe. Since it is something that defies definition, I don’t know how I could characterize it. It cannot be expressed in the same way that conventional things in general can be, simply because it is not a conventional phenomenon. It is the sole province of those who have transcended all aspects of conventional reality, and thus realize within themselves that non-conventional nature. For this reason, words cannot describe it.

'Why do we speak of a “Conventional” Citta and an “absolutely pure” citta? Are they actually two different cittas? Not at all. It remains the same citta. When it is controlled by conventional realities, such as kilesas and ãsavas, that is one condition of the citta. But when the faculty of wisdom has scrubbed it clean until this condition has totally disintegrated, the true citta, the true Dhamma, the one that can stand the test, will not disintegrate and disappear along with it. Only the conditions of anicca, dukkha, and anattã, which infiltrate the citta, actually disappear.

'No matter how subtle the kilesas may be, they are still conditioned by anicca, dukkha, and anattã, and therefore, must be conventional phenomena. Once these things have completely disintegrated, the true citta, the one that has transcended conventional reality, becomes fully apparent. This is called the citta’s Absolute Freedom, or the citta’s Absolute Purity. All connections continuing from the citta’s previous condition have been severed forever. Now utterly pure, the citta’s essential knowing nature remains alone on its own….

'Since this refined awareness does not have a point or a center, it is impossible to specifically locate its position. There is only that essential knowing, with absolutely nothing infiltrating it. Although it still exists amid the same khandhas with which it used to intermix, it no longer shares any common characteristics with them. It is a world apart. Only then do we know clearly that the body, the khandhas, and the citta are all distinct and separate realities…'[8]

About Forgiveness

danny danny (4/30/2006 10:19:56 AM): couple more things about ,,dissolving,, a conflict...it's like this...
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:20:33 AM): remember when I told you that one,, dissolves,, a conflict with others within himself?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:23:47 AM): ok..so we have for example 2 people with 2 egos,(false perception) and they collide together..now...the more one fights back, the more the other fights back. But how one can reach the stage of not fighting?..by will?..or by desire?..no...not possible, sinse they are ,,cougth,, in that bubble (of ego) already
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:24:37 AM): so one must ,,transform,, out of the bubble first.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:26:22 AM): I remember about some words told to me when I started yoga?..there was this advanced yogi, which of course I didn't understand back then, yet I didn't forget them
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:28:52 AM): he said,,you build a mountain inside you,out of the spirit,,..then..what power outside yourself could ever influense you,or disturb you?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:29:22 AM): you can always go back to your mountain.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:30:00 AM): the mountain of truth..and vibes
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:31:24 AM): see?..all conflicts between people, and all wars by the way..are based on the ,,illusion,, of separation. That people falsely believe that they are separated.Yet,they are not deep inside,in spirit.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:32:25 AM): again, this is not a logical thing which one ,,learns,, but an inner transformation.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:33:35 AM): the more you meditate, the more your consciousness is transformed, and becomes less ,,personal,, and more,,universal,,
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:35:12 AM): can you forgive forever?..what if there is nothing to forgive, just is something to ,,be,,?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:36:32 AM): and at that point you understand the foolish false illusion of separation of the other person, and understand that he is just impurified?

danny danny (4/30/2006 10:39:48 AM): can he fight the mountain inside you?..with what weapons?..can an ego(false perceptions) fight the truth,or the spirit within?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:41:41 AM): the universe gives you all the clues you need. The outside experienses one has are direct reflection of one inner universe one built.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:47:12 AM): so if any outside person or circumstance bother you, just say to yourself,,there is something inside me stirring, and reacting to this, but that is not necessary ..you can always leave the mountain inside, and be forced to react,yet..the mountain of peace and joy and wisdom is always inside you, waiting for you to return. And when you returned, you already ,,forgave,, because you left the plane of ,,ego reactions,, and you ARE in the mountain.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:48:04 AM): you become the mountain.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:53:15 AM): and at that point, the outer universe(experienses) adjust to your inner one,as reflection. This is what I did when I was on that cruise line ship..did I make any logical plans to escape?..no..I refused to sleep couple nights, and I meditated.THAT is surrender. Then, the opportunity was created in the outer universe to escape the ship, and start a new adventure as a monk in america.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:54:39 AM):
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:58:18 AM): I remember I was like at 3 am in the morning on the ship deck..all alone, singing Ganesha songs?...GANESHA..Ganeeeesha..jai Jai Shri Ganesha!!!...and the wind, and the sea would reply back...jai...jai shri ganesha!!!!
danny danny (4/30/2006 11:01:41 AM): and one night..I met a dude from phillipines, who was on the deck at 3 am like me,and he was singing jesus songs?..JESUS THE GREATEST..Jesus the greatest....la-laa-la- laaaaa..and i responding..jai jai Shri ganeshaaaaa....and the fishes in the sea were jumping out and enjoying the songs.
Healing within to heal 'without'
by Joe Vitale
Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients--without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.
When I first heard this story, I thought it was an urban legend. How could anyone heal anyone else by healing himself? How could even the best self-improvement master cure the criminally insane? It didn't make any sense. It wasn't logical, so I dismissed the story.
However, I heard it again a year later. I heard that the therapist had used a Hawaiian healing process called ho'oponopono. I had never heard of it, yet I couldn't let it leave my mind. If the story was at all true, I had to know more. I had always understood "total responsibility" to mean that I am responsible for what I think and do. Beyond that, it's out of my hands. I think that most people think of total responsibility that way. We're responsible for what we do, not what anyone else does--but that's wrong.
The Hawaiian therapist who healed those mentally ill people would teach me an advanced new perspective about total responsibility. His name is Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. We probably spent an hour talking on our first phone call. I asked him to tell me the complete story of his work as a therapist.
He explained that he worked at Hawaii State Hospital for four years. That ward where they kept the criminally insane was dangerous. Psychologists quit on a monthly basis. The staff called in sick a lot or simply quit. People would walk through that ward with their backs against the wall, afraid of being attacked by patients. It was not a pleasant place to live, work, or visit.

Dr. Len told me that he never saw patients. He agreed to have an office and to review their files. While he looked at those files, he would work on himself. As he worked on himself, patients began to heal. "'After a few months, patients that had to be shackled were being allowed to walk freely,' he told me. 'Others who had to be heavily medicated were getting off their medications. And those who had no chance of ever being released were being freed.' I was in awe. 'Not only that,' he went on, 'but the staff began to enjoy coming to work.Absenteeism and turnover disappeared. We ended up with more staff than we needed because patients were being released, and all the staff was showing up to work. Today, that ward is closed.'

This is where I had to ask the million dollar question: 'What were you doing within yourself that caused those people to change?'

'I was simply healing the part of me that created them,' he said. I didn't understand. Dr. Len explained that total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life - simply because it is in your life -- is your responsibility. In a literal sense the entire world is your creation.
Whew. This is tough to swallow. Being responsible for what I say or do is one thing. Being responsible for what everyone in my life says or does is quite another.
Yet, the truth is this: if you take complete responsibility for your life, then everything you see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is your responsibility because it is in your life. This means that terrorist activity, the president, the economy or anything you experience and don't like--is up for you to heal. They don't exist, in a manner of speaking, except as projections from inside you.
The problem isn't with them, it's with you, and to change them, you have to change you. "I know this is tough to grasp, let alone accept or actually live. Blame is far easier than total responsibility, but as I spoke with Dr. Len, I began to realize that healing for him and in ho 'oponopono means loving yourself.

If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone, even a mentally ill criminal you do it by healing you. I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself. What was he doing, exactly, when he looked at those patients' files?

'"I just kept saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you' over and over again," he explained. "That's it?" That's it.
Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world. Let me give you a quick example of how this works: one day, someone sent me an email that upset me. In the past I would have handled it by working on my emotional hot buttons or by trying to reason with the person who sent the nasty message.
This time, I decided to try Dr. Len's method. I kept silently saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you,' I didn't say it to anyone in particular. I was simply evoking the spirit of love to heal within me what was creating the outer circumstance. Within an hour I got an e-mail from the same person. He apologized for his previous message. Keep in mind that I didn't take any outward action to get that apology. I didn't even write him back. Yet, by saying 'I love you,' I somehow healed within me what was creating him.
I later attended a ho 'oponopono workshop run by Dr. Len. He's now 70 years old, considered a grandfatherly shaman, and is somewhat reclusive. He praised my book, The Attractor Factor. He told me that as I improve myself, my book's vibration will raise, and everyone will feel it when they read it. In short, as I improve, my readers will improve. "What about the books that are already sold and out there?" I asked. "'They aren't out there," he explained, once again blowing my mind with his mystic wisdom. "They are still in you".
In short, there is no out there. It would take a whole book to explain this advanced technique with the depth it deserves. Suffice It to say that whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there's only one place to look: inside you. When you look, do it with love.

That people falsely believe that they are separated.Yet,they are not deep inside,in spirit.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:32:25 AM): again, this is not a logical thing which one ,,learns,, but an inner transformation.
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:33:35 AM): the more you meditate, the more your consciousness is transformed, and becomes less ,,personal,, and more,,universal,,
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:35:12 AM): can you forgive forever?..what if there is nothing to forgive, just is something to ,,be,,?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:36:32 AM): and at that point you understand the foolish false illusion of separation of the other person, and understand that he is just impurified?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:37:02 AM): kisses...
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:39:48 AM): can he fight the mountain inside you?..with what weapons?..can an ego(false perceptions) fight the truth,or the spirit within?
danny danny (4/30/2006 10:41:41 AM): the universe gives you all the clues you need. The outside experienses one has are direct reflection of one inner universe one built.

Now, even at death, I will have no regrets...

Lead me from dreaming to waking.

Buddha at Gampo Abbey Seven Points of Training the Mind:
The Root Text from Chekawa(1102-1176), the author, opens The Seven Points with this homage.

Translated by the Nalanda Translation Committee under the direction of Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche.

ONE: The preliminaries, which are the basis for dharma practice

First, train in the preliminaries.

TWO: The main practice, which is training
in bodhicitta

Absolute Bodhicitta
Regard all dharmas as dreams.
Examine the nature of unborn awareness.
Self-liberate even the antidote.
Rest in the nature of alaya, the essence.
In postmeditation, be a child of illusion.

Relative Bodhicitta
Sending and taking should be practiced alternately. These two should ride
the breath.
Three objects, three poisons, three roots of virtue.
In all activities, train with slogans.
Begin the sequence of sending and taking with yourself.

THREE: Transformation of Bad Circumstances into the Way of Enlightenment

When the world is filled with evil, transform all mishaps into the path of bodhi.
Drive all blames into one.
Be grateful to everyone.
Seeing confusion as the four kayas is unsurpassable shunyata protection.
Four practices are the best of methods.
Whatever you meet unexpectedly, join with meditation.

FOUR: Showing the Utilization of Practice in One's Whole Life

Practice the five strengths, the condensed heart instructions.
The mahayana instruction for ejection of consciousness at death is the five strengths: how you conduct yourself is important.

FIVE: Evaluation of Mind Training

All dharma agrees at one point.
Of the two witnesses, hold the principal one.
Always maintain only a joyful mind.
If you can practice even when distracted, you are well trained.

SIX: Disciplines of Mind Training

Always abide by the three basic principles.
Change you attitude, but remain natural.
Don't talk about injured limbs.
Don't ponder others.
Work with the greatest defilements first.
Abandon any hope of fruition.
Abandon poisonous food.
Don't be so predictable.
Don't malign others.
Don't wait in ambush.
Don't bring things to a painful point.
Don't transfer the ox's load to the cow.
Don't try to be the fastest.
Don't act with a twist.
Don't make gods into demons.
Don't seek others' pain as the limbs of your own happiness.

SEVEN: Guidelines of Mind Training

All activities should be done with one intention.
Correct all wrongs with one intention.
Two activities: one at the beginning, one at the end.
Whichever of the two occurs, be patient.
Observe these two, even at the risk of your life.
Train in the three difficulties.
Take on the three principal causes.
Pay heed that the three never wane.
Keep the three inseparable.
Train without bias in all areas. It is crucial always to do this pervasively
and wholeheartedly.
Always meditate on whatever provokes resentment.
Don't be swayed by external circumstances.
This time, practice the main points.
Don't misinterpret.
Don't vacillate.
Train wholeheartedly.
Liberate yourself by examining and analyzing.
Don't wallow in self-pity.
Don't be jealous.
Don't be frivolous.
Don't expect applause.

When the five dark ages occur,
This is the way to transform them into the path of bodhi.
This is the essence of the amrita of the oral instructions,
Which were handed down from the tradition of the sage Suvarnadvipa.
Having awoken the karma of previous training
And being urged on by my intense dedication,
I disregarded misfortune and slander
And received oral instruction on taming ego-fixation.
Now, even at death, I will have no regrets.
